Tooth preparation is minimal and confined to the enamel. The final veneer is bonded to the tooth with tooth-coloured resin cement. Two visits are usually necessary to complete treatment; the first is to prepare the teeth, take impressions and make temporaries, and the second is to remove the temporaries and fit the final veneers.
Patients should be aware that this is usually an irreversible process because it’s necessary to remove a small amount of enamel from your teeth to accommodate the veneer.
